In addition to helping my clients heal from past traumatic events and cope with ongoing stressors, it is important to me to help clients build confidence and become strong self-advocates! I graduated with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Plymouth State University in 2021, and I have been working as a clinician with older children, adolescents, and young adults for several years. Throughout my EMDR practice, I come from a strengths-based approach grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as utilizing Solution-Focused and DBT strategies and tools. I very much welcome those who have thought “therapy isn’t for me”. I also support neurodivergent clients with developmental disabilities, autism, ADHD, and learning or processing disabilities. I believe clients, especially those who have been labeled as “problematic” or “difficult” in the past, are so much more than their behaviors. I hope to help navigate the challenges and emotions that come up when someone is pushed to live as anyone other than their authentic self, and I recognize that many queer, disabled, and neurodivergent individuals have past harmful experiences with mental healthcare. I hope to give all my clients a positive, transparent, compassionate, validating, and empowering experience.
